Head of Finance - Sweden

We are seeking a driven finance professional to join the rapidly growing Oral Care Group, owned by the Nordic private equity firm Axcel. You will lead the finance function for one of Oral Care’s largest market, covering both accounting and controlling. As a core member of the Swedish leadership team, you will act as the key financial partner to the Country Manager Sweden, supporting operational and strategic decisions across the Swedish business.

Oral Care is on an ambitious growth journey, building a leading dental care platform in Northern Europe through a decentralized and scalable model. Today, the group generates more than EUR 200m in revenue with over 1,600 employees across Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands and continues to grow both organically and through acquisitions. Sweden represents a large market with EUR 80m in revenue, +600 employees and +30 clinics nationwide.

Given the decentralized clinic structure, understanding operational performance and translating financials into actionable insights will be a key part of the role. The position is based at Oral Care’s HQ in Stockholm and reports to the Swedish Country Manager, with dotted line to the Group CFO.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the Swedish finance team consisting of accountants and a business controller, fostering a business-oriented finance function.
• Drive budgeting, reporting and forecasting processes across the Swedish organization, including both regional and clinic-level performance.
• Strengthen financial processes and performance transparency across the organization, ensuring high-quality and timely financial insights.
• Ensure strong financial governance and statutory compliance from an accounting and taxation perspective.
• Prepare and present clear, impactful financial analyses and reporting to leadership and key stakeholders, supporting data-driven decision making.         
• Act as a financial partner to the operational organization, helping to understand and improve performance across the clinic network.
• Support value creation initiatives together with functions such as M&A, procurement and business operations.
• Play a key role in integrating newly acquired clinics into the Group’s financial structure and reporting framework.
• Collaborate closely with Group Finance to ensure alignment in reporting, budgeting and financial processes.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a leader with strong analytical skills, business acumen and a pragmatic, hands-on approach to finance operations. Desired background may include:

• +8 years of relevant experience in finance.
• Audit (Big4) followed by controlling or finance leadership role.
• Experience from fast-growing or private equity-backed companies is highly valued.
• A proven track record of successfully leading people and teams.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and BI tools, ideally combined with using LLM/AI tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Swedish and English.
• A flexible and entrepreneurial mindset suited for a rapidly growing organization.
