Financial Controller (Interim) – Finland

We are currently supporting a Nordic real estate investment and asset management platform in the search for a Financial Controller for a 12-month interim assignment based in Finland, starting June.

Please note: experience from real estate or property-based structures is required for this role.

This is a hands-on role focused on owning and coordinating the financial reporting across a portfolio of property-owning entities.

The role

You will be responsible for the Finnish structure, consisting of multiple legal entities where each property is held separately. Accounting is handled by an external provider, and your role will be to review, steer and ensure quality across the full reporting flow.

You will work closely with both local stakeholders and the group finance team, ensuring that reporting is accurate, consistent and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting across multiple legal entities
• Review and quality-assure local accounting performed by external providers
• Consolidate Finnish entities and prepare group reporting packages
• Perform balance sheet reviews and ensure overall financial accuracy
• Support liquidity forecasting and financing-related reporting
• Follow up on NOI, NAV and property-level performance
• Participate in quarterly reporting, audit and financial statement processes
• Maintain company administration and documentation
• Support onboarding of new entities and structures

Profile

We are looking for a hands-on Financial Controller with a structured and pragmatic approach. You likely bring:

• Experience from financial controlling within real estate or property-based structures
• Strong understanding of multi-entity environments where assets are held in separate legal entities
• Solid experience in consolidation and reporting flows
• Experience working with external accounting providers
• Familiarity with consolidation systems
