Nordic Capital is seeking a Sustainability Manager to join the team—a unique opportunity to work with some of the world’s most dynamic companies, driving long-term, sustainable growth.

In this role, you will develop Nordic Capital’s sustainability and climate agenda at both the firm and portfolio levels. You will support the integration of sustainability into the investment process, strengthen the Responsible Investment framework, and support compliance with key sustainability regulations. You will be part of a dedicated sustainability team based in Stockholm, reporting directly to the Head of Sustainability.

Role Overview

Lead the development and execution of Nordic Capital’s Responsible Investment framework, ensuring best practices in sustainability across the firm and its investments. You will work closely with the investment organization and senior executives to integrate environmental and social factors into decision-making, identify risks and opportunities, and enhance reporting. You will also oversee Nordic Capital’s climate strategy, ESG performance tracking and continuously support the firm’s broader sustainability strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve and execute sustainability reporting for investors, portfolio companies, and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and refine the Responsible Investment framework, ensuring best practices.
  • Perform ESG due diligence together with investment teams, providing expertise and support.
  • Design toolkits and provide training to help shape and implement Nordic Capital’s sustainability agenda.
  • Oversee Nordic Capital’s climate agenda, driving progress in line with set targets.
  • Support compliance with SFDR, CSRD, and other evolving regulations, adapting policies as needed.
  • Support Investor Relations with LP reporting, ESG data collection, and presentations.

Who You Are

We are looking for an experienced and strategic sustainability professional who can drive ESG integration at both strategic and operational levels. You have strong communication skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders.

Your Background: 

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in sustainability consulting, strategy, or a relevant in-house role within a corporate or investment firm.
  • Strong understanding of ESG risks, and opportunities, with the ability to translate them into business impact.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, balancing high-level strategy with operational execution.
  • Solid understanding of the private equity industry, financial concepts, and operational structures.
  • Familiarity with SFDR, CSRD, and other ESG regulations.
