Business Controller

We are seeking a highly analytical and business-oriented Business Controller to join the rapidly growing Oral Care, owned by the Nordic private equity firm Axcel. In this role, you will be a key financial partner for the Swedish operations, consisting of 28 clinics, and play a crucial role in ensuring financial transparency, operational efficiency, and business growth.

You will work closely with the Swedish Country Manager and collaborate with Regional Managers, Clinic Managers, Group Finance, and the accounting team to drive budgeting, reporting, and performance analysis across the Swedish business. Through a decentralized yet scalable approach, we are laying a solid foundation to become a leading dental care group in Northern Europe. We are now looking for skilled individuals who are ready to be challenged and grow together with Oral Care.

This role reports directly to the Swedish Country Manager with a dotted reporting line to the Group CFO. The position will be based at Oral Care's HQ in Stockholm (Globen).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive business performance tracking through operational follow-ups, including budget vs. actuals, variance analysis, and forecasting.
  • Lead key aspects of the budget process with Regional Managers, Clinic Managers, and the Country Manager to ensure financial alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop profitability and performance analyses, tracking revenue streams at clinic and dentist levels (e.g., productivity, provision, and bonus models).
  • Support integration of new clinics, conducting pro forma financial analysis and ensuring smooth financial alignment.
  • Enhance financial transparency, ensuring key operational and financial KPIs are well understood and utilized.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and HR to ensure financial accuracy while integrating business metrics on workforce efficiency and cost optimization.
  • Improve financial and operational reporting, optimizing tools and processes for proactive decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in finance or a related field, with 3-5 years of relevant working experience, preferably within the service industry.
  • Background in audit, consulting, or business controlling is highly valued.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to calculate pro forma financials and a great understanding of operational KPIs.
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel and BI tools for financial modeling and analysis.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships across functions and communicate financial insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with strong time management skills.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to take on new challenges as Oral Care continues to grow.
